The Story

The Banks Power Monster-Ram Intake & Heater Grid Upgrade will improve airflow into your Cab & Chassis Ram 3500/4500/5600 6.7L Diesel. The Banks Monster-Ram can enhance throttle response and fuel efficiency removing airflow obstructions. By replacing the stock grid heater, which is prone to failure, the included Banks high-flow billet intake plate prevents serious engine damage.

A True Monster Of A RAM
As the name suggests, the Monster-Ram intake elbow is a true beast for your Ram. After they engineered it, Banks went all out. You'll experience a better throttle response and your wallet will enjoy the extra money.

What It Does
Airflow from the intercooler is increased by the Monster-Ram intake manifold. With Banks’ New Coil Heater and High-Flow Billet Intake Plate, this unit flows 72.7 Ibs/min as opposed to the stock intake manifold flow of 38.6 Ibs/min MAF. You can feel the tremendous 88.3% boost over factory intake! This design improves engine response, efficiency, and headroom for daily driving and heavy hauling by increasing boost without increasing back pressureat the turbine. Your engine's intercooler and turbocharger are two components that increase air density. Air density is hampered by anything in the intake tract that doesn't raise it. In order to restore that lost air density, Banks designed the Monster Ram intake.

It's All About Mass Air Flow
Not only does the Monster-Ram intake increase airflow, butit also improves the weight and quality of the air it flows. Even at high RPM, the amount of air your truck's engine can push through its cylinders is restricted. By increasing the amount of air fed to each cylinder, your stock-tuned engine will breathe more efficiently with less stress and pave the way for significant power gains when combined with a tune.

How They Do It
Your engine has to use a lot of air and has a hard time breathing through its narrow entrance. The Banks Monster-Ram intake features a broad, unhindered, free-flowing tract, whereas the factory horn reduces boost at the same flow.

Engineering A Better Solution
The No. 1 fuel line restricts the airflow route for all other aftermarket replacement manifolds. With its specially bent fuel line, this intake manifold produces unparalleled airflow.

Monitor Everything
Ifyou already have an iDash setup, you can monitor your truck using the Monster-Ram intake manifold’s four 1/8° NPT ports for temperature, pressure, or flow sensors.

Prevents Broken Bolt Engine Failure
The stock heater grid’s nut and stud have been known to loosen and fall into the lower intake manifold as a result of vibration, heat, and mileage. It will then roll into cylinder #6, resulting in a catastrophic failure that necessitates a full engine rebuild or replacement due to damaged pistons, bent valves, and a cylinder head.

Stock Heater Chokes Performance
The stock heater assembly obstructs airflow, which enables the accumulation of carbon and soot. For best performance, the Monster-Ram intake manifold comes with an unique high-flow billet intake plate. This plate is machined to the optimum thickness and contains an enlarged inlet that is a CNC port matched to the intake for minimal restriction and maximum air density.

Make Way For Airflow
For the Monster-Ram, Banks engineers created a unique heating system that gives the least amount of airflow disruption. Without obstructing airflow, this Banks-only coil heater is positioned vertically inside the intake. This makes it possible to fully remove the stock grid heater and install the Banks High-Flow Billet Plate in its place. This preserves factory-like cold weather engine start performance while eliminating the risk of engine failure fro pieces coming loose and dropping into the engine.
